Where do I start?

Find out what God's plan is for your life

" For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. If you would seek me with all of your heart, I would be found by you says the Lord and bring you back from all of the places that have held you captive."

Why Discipleship

Jesus’ day a disciple would follow their teacher everywhere. They would listen to the teacher. Ask questions and adopt the view of the world the teacher had. The disciple would observe and willingly adopt habits and methods of living the teacher had.

The 12 Apostles were disciples of Jesus. They had followed Jesus and learned from His teaching and lifestyle. They had adopted His view of life and the actions and habits of Jesus. Their lives had been transformed into the image of the Son of God. After Jesus’ ascension they were sent into the world to make other disciples. They in turn transferred all they had learned from Jesus to other people. The Apostle Paul pointed back to this reality in his statement, “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”

As a teaching/preaching pastor I am committed to calling people back to the life of discipleship. The life of following Jesus. I am committed to using the gifts that God has given me as I perform my function in the body of Christ to cultivate an environment of disciples (Jesus followers) that are Connecting with Christ and one another, Growing towards maturity in the new life Christ gives us inside of Him and Serving in the name and reputation of Jesus Christ.
